Buta or paisley is a motif of persian origin. The post mughal version of the design became popular in 19 th century in the form of kashmir shawls and architecture . The buta candle is a perfect blend of tradition with modernity .The paisley design has been influenced by many cultures, but came to the west as a result of trade in cashmere goods from the vale of kashmir , then down to India and thence to Europe .
